False Alarm

False Alarm is a United States punk band from Hollywood California. As formed in 1982 and originally featuring punk Fat Mike of the well known NOFX. The band has released two records 1998 "Learning Is Impossible" and featuring both music of 1983 and 1997 recordings. A following record "Fuck Em All We've All Ready Now (Won)!" released 2006 in the U.S.A. and 2009 in Europe. The record was originally recorded in 2001
"Fuck Em All We've All Ready Now (Won)!" featured 3 guest appearance's by 3 early punk legends. Cheeatah Chrome of the Dead Boys, Rocket From The Tombs and Batusis played on six tracks contributing lead guitar and vocals. Rick wilder front man for the Berlin Brats and Mau Mau's put vocals on one track. de detroit of UXA also sang one song on the cd
On "Fuck Em All We've All Ready Now (Won)!" Dylan Maunder not only played guitar as he had done previously but took on lead vocals for the band. It was at this time that Paul Kostabi of the band Youth Gone Mad with Dee Dee Ramone joined the band to play rhythm guitar for the CD.
Kostabi and Dee Dee Ramone later recorded the song False Alarm that they wrote together with there band Youth Gone Mad. False Alarm also recorded the song they wrote entitled "Youth Gone Mad" and Cheetah Chrome added all the lead guitar for the song. False Alarm Played less the 50 shows in there career mostly between 1996 and 1999 but they have released two CD's and Two vinyl 45 records both splits with Youth Gone Mad one of which features Joey Ramone singing on the Youth gone Mad track. They have recorded with some of the best names in punk but never really gotten off the ground to a large extent. This may be dew to the many problems the band has endured with drugs and legal problems which put members behind bars at times. in 2005 singer Dylan Maunder died in Hollywood with a drug related death. He never lived to see "Fuck Em All We've All Ready Now (Won)! released because the release had been held up while other members were fighting criminal charges.
